On September 8th, 2007, the Tri-County Humane Society hosted their 19th Annual Companion Walk for Animals.

Approximately 300 people, 178 dogs and a 7-week-old kitten (that slept in its owner's hat) strolled along the five mile trek and then returned to Wilson Park to partake in the food, games and activities.

This is their main fundraiser fo the year. So far they have raised over $49,000.00.

The VFW Granite Post 428 donated the use of tables and chairs for the event.
